Interior Still Lifes
Painting was inspired by a still life Matisse did in 1919 during the time around the Spanish Flu Pandemic. I just wanted a bright, happy painting that showed a simple pleasure. The flower still life being inside while giving a view of the outside gives just a light nod to the restrictions of the Pandemic.
